The stadium isn't in the part of Varanasi most visitors know. It's out at Ganjari, on the Rajatalab side, so getting there takes a bit of planning — especially on a match day when thousands of people are heading the same way.

Roughly 15–18 km by road. It usually takes 40–60 minutes on a normal day; allow much longer on match days. We'll replace these estimates with times we've measured ourselves.
About 20–25 km by road from Lal Bahadur Shastri airport at Babatpur. Allow at least an hour, more on match days.
Banaras station (Manduadih) looks slightly closer to Ganjari than Varanasi Junction (Cantt) on the map. Cantt has far more trains and cabs, though, so most visitors will still start there. We'll confirm the better option once we've driven both routes.
Expect about an hour on a normal day, longer on match days. Much of that time goes in getting out of the old-city lanes, not on the highway.
Yes, autos and cabs both go to Ganjari. Agree the fare before you get in, and on match days expect fares to go up.
Nothing official has been announced yet. If the authorities run shuttles, we'll add the pick-up points here.
The highway is busy and lit near the city, but cabs can be hard to find after a big match. Book your return ride in advance or agree a wait with your driver.
